NVIDIA development environment setup on Ubuntu

Because NVIDIA likes to nuke its own drivers on my system every few months.

Nuking everything NVIDIA from existence

Bash
dpkg -l | grep nvidia | awk '{print $2}' | xargs sudo dpkg --force-all -P; sudo apt --fix-broken install

Installing the drivers

Bash
sudo ubuntu-drivers install

Installing CUDA Toolkit

Follow the instructions here.

Installing nvidia-container-toolkit

The instructions from here are replicated below.

Configuring nvidia-container-toolkit for docker

sudo nvidia-ctk runtime configure --runtime=docker
sudo systemctl restart docker

And we are hopefully done.
